Draft Rules 📜
Blitz:Swipe
Time Limit: 2 minutes to draft 9-12 players (varies by sport)
How It Works:
- Players appear one at a time
- Choose to draft or skip each player
- Skipped players are unavailable for the rest of that draft (see Undo Skip exception)
- You won't know who appears next
Player Pool Structure:
- 4 available players per roster position
- For positions with multiple roster spots, you draft from separate sets of 4
- Example: 2 WR spots = 8 total WRs (first set of 4 for WR1, second set of 4 for WR2)
- Players appear in position order (all QBs, then all WRs, etc.)
- All participants see the same players in the same order
- Screen indicator shows remaining players for each position
- You must draft the last available player at each position
Undo Skip Function:
- Available only in Blitz:Swipe
- Undo button appears after skipping a player
- Penalty: -20 seconds from draft clock
- Requirements:
- Must have 20+ seconds remaining on clock
- Can only undo the most recent skip (not multiple skips back)
- Cannot undo draft decisions
Blitz:Grid
Time Limit: 1 minute to draft 4 starters + 2 bench players (varies by sport)
How It Works:
- Start with 4 players visible, each from a different position
- Draft one player
- Remaining positions flip to reveal new players
- Draft another player
- Continue until the final position flips, revealing your last required player
- Repeat process for 2 bench players
Draft Penalties & Forfeits
Drafting After Time Expires
If you don't finish drafting within the time limit:
- You may finish drafting your team
- Penalty: -5 points per player drafted after time expires
Failure to Draft
If you don't draft before the draft window closes (5 minutes before first game starts):
- You forfeit the competition
- You lose your entry fee
- Important: Enable push notifications to receive draft reminders
Incomplete Drafts
If you start but don't finish drafting:
- Penalty: -5 points per empty roster spot
- You compete with an incomplete roster
Understanding Draft Pools
Each contest has a unique draft pool generated when the first user starts drafting. Once created, the pool doesn't change.
Example NFL Timeline:
- Tuesday, 2:15 PM EST: User #1 drafts, creating the draft pool
- Pool includes only players projected to play and NOT injured at this moment
- Thursday morning: User #2 drafts using the same pool
- Even if a player is now marked "OUT" or "Game Time Decision," they still appear
- Strategic Advantage: Draft closer to game time for the most current injury information

Standings & Tiebreakers 🤝
Breaking Ties
Ties are resolved in this order:
1. Draft Clock Time
- User who finished drafting with more time remaining ranks higher
- Shown in "Clock" column (whole seconds)
- Full time (to fractions of a second) visible on lineup comparison page
2. Highest Scoring Bench Player
- Compare highest-scoring bench player points
- In single-bench contests: if same player drafted, split winnings
- In two-bench contests: if first bench player tied, compare second bench player
- If all tiebreakers result in tie: split winnings

Roster Management ⛹🏽♂️
Bench Player Activation
Bench players automatically replace starters when needed. No manual roster management required.
MLB Contests:
- Starters are automatically replaced if they don't START the game
- Bench SP will automatically replace your Lineup SP if they don’t start
- Bench Utility players automatically replace any Lineup “hitter” if they don’t start
- Bench players must START in order for the them to replace a Lineup player
- If both your Lineup SP and Bench SP don’t start, you will not score any SP points
NFL & NBA Contests:
- Starters replaced only if ruled "OUT" before game
- Player who sits entire game (0 points) = their points count
- Player injured during game = their points count
Roster Indicators:
- Red ↓ = Starting player replaced by bench
- Green ↑ = Bench player now active
Important: Blitz:Draft is NOT "best ball." Starting players' scores always count, even if bench players score more.
